MVB STUDIO: From Unclear Store to Creative Ecosystem

MVB STUDIO: From Unclear Store to Creative Ecosystem MVB STUDIO STORE

MVB STUDIO has been live for over a year, and in that time, it’s gone through multiple changes.

At first, I wasn’t entirely sure what MVB STUDIO was meant to be. I experimented with different directions from selling phone cases, personalised products, shampoo dispensers, tea cups, bath bombs, bags and more. It was nice having the sense of owning a store and space to play around, but it didn’t feel right for me. You see, MVB stands for, "Michael Vicente Brasuela"...So, it's my studio which means, it should focus on me? Sharing my passion, experience and knowledge as designer and web specialist.

Finding Direction Through Experience

After stepping back, I realised something important:
I was moving away from my core strength of design.

With over a decade of experience in graphic and web design, the answer was already there. Instead of chasing different product ideas, I decided to build MVB STUDIO based on my previous design experiences as a Graphic Designer, Web-to-Print Technician (basically contributing to design website for a B2B business, checking artworks from close inspection from screen and print), Print Broker and more (to be honest, I didn't want to pay for 2 website, this website and portfolio website).

So I’ve redefined the brand into something more focused:

A product + printing + creative ecosystem built on design.

This direction allows me to combine:

  • E-commerce products
  • Print-based services (like order of service, wedding, menu printing and more)
  • Creative and digital design services

All under one structured system.

Building a Product + Printing + Creative Ecosystem

The goal is not just to sell products, it’s to build a system that connects to my experiences:

  • Physical products (e.g. phone cases, prints)
  • Printing services (e.g. funeral, wedding, restaurant materials)
  • Creative services (web design, graphic design, branding, photography)
  • Also, a design portfolio

Instead of separate ideas, everything now supports one core theme:
design-led e-commerce.

This approach gives MVB STUDIO a clearer identity and stronger direction.

A Space for Experimentation and Growth

Beyond selling, MVB STUDIO is also my personal space for exploration.

I want this website to be a place where I can:

  • Test new e-commerce strategies
  • Experiment with layouts, UX, and CRO
  • Document insights and learnings
  • Explore new design directions

In a way, it becomes both a business and a working portfolio. My current work suggest we should have entrepreneurship mindset. How can you have an entrepreneur mindset without understanding how a business works, right?

To me, this is the perfect solution. It reflects how I think, design, and build.

Automation First: Focusing on What Matters

One of my main focus in my strategy is focusing on automation.

Rather than managing everything manually, I’m building a system where:

  • Products are fulfilled by suppliers
  • Printing is handled externally
  • Delivery is automated

This allows me to focus on:

  • Marketing
  • SEO
  • Design
  • Conversion optimisation
  • Strategy

Basically, focusing on the fun stuff!

From Product-Focused to Structured Navigation

Previously, the website was just heavily product-focused.

The new direction introduces a hybrid navigation:

  • Products
  • Printing (services + collections)
  • Creative Services (design, web, branding, photography)
  • Portfolio (Showcase client works and designs)
  • Journal/Blog (insights, experiments, learnings)

This structure supports both SEO and user experience by clearly separating intent:

  • Buying products
  • Ordering services
  • Exploring content

What’s Next for MVB STUDIO

This is not a finished version, it’s a foundation.

Moving forward, I’ll be:

  • Refining the navigation and structure
  • Building SEO-focused landing pages
  • Testing conversion strategies
  • Expanding print and service offerings
  • Documenting everything through my journal

MVB STUDIO is no longer just an online shop.

I want it to be a design-led e-commerce ecosystem; built to grow, adapt, and evolve over time.
